Bernard Woma - Kola Per: Cat and Mouse

from Little Old, Little New, Little Bloom by Varied

/

about

"These two animals live in the same house, but they don’t like each other. The moral wisdom of this song advises people to learn to live together no matter what our differences are. Let us love each other in whatever circumstances we find ourselves; whether it is in our homes, schools, or anywhere, love and respect for one another is important."
-Bernard Woma

lyrics

The cat and the mouse live in the same house.
They don't always get along.
The cats chase and bully the mice so the mice invite the cats to dinner.
They serve the cats a lot to eat and drink.
The cats eat so much, they get tired.
The cats fall asleep.
"Presto!" The mice make the cats' tails disappear while they are asleep.
From that point on, the cats treat the mice kindly.
This is why cats hide their tails when they are scared.
